Post-Thyroidectomy Suture Trainer
This compact, standalone suture trainer is specifically designed for practicing multilayer suturing techniques. It features three realistic, suturable tissue layers: skin, membrane, and muscle.
The model replicates the appearance and tissue structure of a typical post-thyroidectomy wound. It is an ideal tool for novice learners to develop fundamental suturing skills while also gaining experience with wound closure challenges, retraction techniques, and assistance during surgical closure.
Each layer—skin, membrane, and muscle—can be sutured using round-bodied needles. Simulated blood or clots may be added to enhance realism and create specific training scenarios.
Durable and reusable, this model supports repeated practice sessions.

Setup instructions
Place the model on a firm surface like a table. If using blood or blood clot, insert the chosen blood product into the appropriate areas of the model for your training session.
Care, repair & cleaning instructions
The model can be washed with warm soapy water and disinfected with Iso Alcohol.
Flush out the bloodlines thoroughly, if applicable to your model.
Flush lines with Iso-alcohol to prevent mould.
Make sure the model is thoroughly dried before storing.
As Silicone is an oil based product, it may become a little shiny over time. Wipe off any oily residue with Isopropyl Alcohol. You can use talcum powder and brush this over shiny areas.
Store away from direct sunlight.
